How Soon Can My Employees Use Benefit Guardian Plan?

Your employees can access their program as soon as they receive their Benefit Guardian membership kit following your program effective date.

 

How Much Can My Employees Save Using The Plan?

  • For Dental, your employees can save, in most instances, 15% to 50% per visit** at over 238,000* available dental practice locations nationwide.
  • For Vision, your employees can save 10% to 60% on eyeglasses, contact lenses and laser surgery at participating locations.

How Much Does A Visit Cost?

Teladoc physician visits cost $0 with the turn-key Benefit Guardian program. If you are interested in a customized program, please contact us.

 

Does The Price Change Whether The Employer Has A Broker or Not?

Benefit Guardian is happy to work with your broker and offers the same price whether the employer has a broker or not.

 

What Is Your Refund Policy?

If you are not completely satisfied within 30 days of your registration date, you may cancel your membership and receive a full refund of your membership fees. After 30 days, you may cancel your membership at any time and no further monthly fees will be charged.

 

What’s The Employer Set Up Process?

The Benefit Guardian program is simple to implement. Two items are required: The Employer List Bill Agreement and Eligibility File.

 

What’s The Employer Set Up Cost? What Are The Administrative Costs?

Benefit Guardian has no set up fees, no application fees and no one-time fees.

 

What Is The State Availability?

The Benefit Guardian program is available in all states except Vermont and Utah. Washington is available in a non-voluntary implementation, only.

 

How Much Do Benefit Guardian Plans/Packages Cost?

Benefit Guardian packages start at $6.99 per member per month for employers.

What Kind Of Services Do You Offer To The Employers?

There are 24 services and discounts including Health Advocate™ Services, CreditGuard, and Teladoc as well as discounts on vision, dental and pharmacy. Please see this link for more information.

 

How Long Does It Take To Get Set Up?

We can implement our programs as quickly as 2-3 weeks.

 

Who Can My Employees Include In Their Plan?

Your employee, spouse and legal dependents are included in the employees’ subscription.

 

Why Should An Employer Buy Benefit Guardian If Their Medical Plan Includes TeleHealth?

With the Benefit Guardian program, your employees have a $0 visit fee for Teladoc. As a result, higher utilization for Teladoc can redirect claims away from the medical plan and help provide an improvement in employees’ productivity.

 

When Is The Employer Billed For The Program?

Your invoice will be billed in arrears and is generated based on active memberships on the last day of the month.

 

Can Employees Be Registered Electronically Using An Online Enrollment System or HRIS System?

Yes this can be accommodated. Please reach out to your Account Executive for additional details.

 

Are There Minimum Participation Requirements?

There is no minimum participation requirement as far as employees are concerned; however, there is a monthly $100.00 list bill minimum.

 

When Will My Employees Receive The Benefit Guardian Membership Card?

After an employee is activated in our system, the Benefit Guardian Membership Kit will arrive in the mail 7-10 business days. Please allow standard delivery time via USPS.

 

How Many Times A Year Can My Employees Use Benefit Guardian Services?

There is no limit. If their membership is active, they can utilize Benefit Guardian services for themselves and their dependents as many times as they would like to.

 

How Can My Employees Find A Provider?

The Benefit Guardian Membership Kit includes the five closest participating providers to the member’s zip code. To locate additional providers, they can visit MyBenefitsWork.com or call the phone number listed on the back of their membership card.

 

How Do Members/Employees Access Their Services?

After an employee receives their Benefit Guardian Membership Kit, they can visit MyBenefitsWork.com, or call the phone number listed on the back of their membership card to access their membership.

 

Can My Employees Request And Download A Doctor’s Note After A Teladoc Visit?

 

Yes. Employees have the option to request and download a doctor’s note after a visit directly with Teladoc.

Do Employers Have Access To Utilization Reports?

Yes. All employers can elect to receive monthly utilization reports that provide Teladoc and Health Advocate TM Solutions utilization numbers for their group.

 

Who Administers Benefit Guardian Program?

The program is administered by New Benefits, a privately held company headquartered in Dallas, TX. New Benefits will handle billing, creation and mailing of fulfillment kits and day to day customer service for our members.
